I've been farming most of my adult life. Some say farming is a calling, I just love working with the earth and my hands. Back in 2018, I transitioned that passion into my own farm, Van Wageningen Daughters Farms.

With the birth of my daughters, my desire to produce "Beyond Organic" food options for my family became an even greater priority. I take pride in educating my girls on the benefits of an organic lifestyle.

Soon after that, I was frequently being asked if I would create edible gardens and spaces for others. Farm Your Yard was born!

I truly love working with clients in their unique spaces and helping them create their vision. Whether it's an edible garden combined with a flower garden, a chicken coop or a greenhouse for year-long growing.

We embrace the Beyond Organic, Permaculture philosophy of farming. “Certified Organic” can still use certain approved pesticides and fertilizers. BEYOND ORGANIC uses ZERO. We use natural elements that nurture fertility, and deliberate plant choices that attract good insects to protect your crop. A Permaculture approach means NO PESTICIDES AND FERTILIZERS OR TILLING.

 

We utilize cover crops that invite beneficial insects, nourish soil, add nutrients and suppress weeds. Van Wageningen & Daughters Farms uses all natural compost and a layering technique that mimics nature and requires less watering. We take pride in growing our produce as clean, healthy and safely as possible, from our family to yours.
